About the Role

Key responsibilities include implementing the project Environmental Management Plan (EMP) in line with regulatory, client, and aviation requirements; conducting routine inspections and audits covering noise, air quality, water management, waste, and ecosystem protection; and ensuring compliance with permits, approval conditions, and sustainability guidelines. The coordinator will monitor environmental KPIs, coordinate spill response, erosion control, dust suppression, and waste segregation, and liaise with contractors, consultants, agencies, and airport authorities. Additional duties involve preparing regular environmental reports, supporting training and awareness campaigns, promoting sustainable construction practices, and assisting with sustainability frameworks such as LEED or Envision. • Implement and monitor the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to meet regulatory and aviation standards. • Conduct routine inspections and audits for noise, air quality, water, waste, and ecosystem protection. • Ensure compliance with environmental permits, approval conditions, and sustainability guidelines. • Track environmental KPIs, report non‑conformances, and drive corrective actions. • Support construction teams in mitigating impacts from earthworks, utilities, and airside operations. • Review and validate method statements, risk assessments, and temporary works plans. • Coordinate spill response, erosion control, dust suppression, and waste segregation systems. • Liaise with contractors, consultants, agencies, and airport authorities on all environmental matters. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly environmental reports and compliance dashboards. • Deliver training and awareness programs for construction crews and subcontractors. • Promote sustainable practices such as material reuse, waste reduction, and resource efficiency. • Assist with sustainability frameworks (LEED, Envision) and ISO 14001 compliance. • Utilize MS Office, environmental monitoring tools, and digital reporting platforms effectively.

What You Bring

The company is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Environmental Coordinator – Saudi National to support environmental compliance, monitoring, and sustainability initiatives on a major airfield infrastructure development project. The role ensures construction activities comply with environmental legislation, project requirements, and aviation authority standards while promoting sustainable construction practices. Ideal candidates will have eight years of experience in environmental management within large‑scale infrastructure, aviation, or industrial projects. Required qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field, and a minimum of eight years of environmental management or coordination experience on large‑scale infrastructure or aviation projects. Candidates must have strong experience in site inspections, audits, regulatory compliance, and knowledge of air quality control, waste management, water control, and ecological protection. Proficiency in MS Office, environmental monitoring tools, digital reporting platforms, and familiarity with ISO 14001, LEED, or Envision is essential; fluency in Arabic is a plus. • Communicate clearly in Arabic (preferred) and English with diverse project stakeholders.
