About the Role

The Senior Application Engineer for Turbomachinery Controls (TMC) will engage in every technical aspect of projects, spanning hardware, software, and control schemes, and will work remotely as part of Schneider Electric’s global team. In this role you will interact directly with clients, guide them on control solutions, support startup activities, and deliver training both internally and externally. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams that cover steam and gas turbines, compressors, generators, diesel engines, and hydro turbines, and you will be involved from the initial kickoff meeting through design, programming, factory acceptance testing and on‑site commissioning. Additionally, you will contribute to sales and proposal efforts for TMC projects. • Act as Turbomachinery Controls (TMC) expert, communicating recommendations to clients. • Provide startup support and deliver internal and external training. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary turbomachinery teams (steam/gas turbines, compressors, generators, diesel engines, hydro turbines). • Participate in all project phases: kickoff meetings, system design drawings, control narratives, programming, factory acceptance testing, and on‑site commissioning. • Support TMC sales and proposal development. • Consult with clients on all aspects of turbomachinery.

What You Bring

Successful candidates will hold an engineering bachelor’s degree and bring at least seven years of comprehensive turbomachinery controls experience in multiple asset types. Familiarity with platforms such as Triconex, TS1131, Wonderware, Foxboro DCS, Modicon hardware or Unity Pro is advantageous, as is the ability to manage several projects simultaneously, communicate clearly, and work well within multidisciplinary teams. Consulting with clients on all areas of turbomachinery is also required. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years of turbomachinery controls experience in at least two relevant domains. • Possess experience with Triconex hardware, TS1131 software, Wonderware HMI, Foxboro DCS, Modicon hardware/software, or other function‑based programming tools. • Ability to multitask across multiple projects, communicate clearly, and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
