About the Role
The Operating Supervisor directs the administration and coordination of Pressure Control Operating Mechanic employee activities, interfaces with interstate gas transmission pipeline representatives, and performs mandated regulator equipment inspections, maintenance, and safety inspections. The role also supports central and regional gas distribution capital and maintenance projects, provides the Department Manager with accurate performance information, assists regional operating sections, and manages activities to develop and review performance against departmental goals and standards. The supervisor prioritizes field operations such as seasonal pressure adjustments, annual performance tests, periodic inspection programs, and the installation and maintenance of industrial customer regulator piping and equipment. They also administer and communicate operating procedures, engineering plans, and specifications to ensure proper installation and repair of gas distribution facilities, and will become Operator Qualified in all covered tasks within 12 to 18 months.
