About the Role

• Deliver end‑to‑end project controls services for large, complex infrastructure projects. • Establish and monitor contract success criteria (time, cost, performance). • Implement project governance, processes and systems throughout the lifecycle. • Lead and coordinate a matrix‑based project controls team. • Maintain the risk register and assess risk components and variations. • Apply KPI‑driven performance management to improve project outcomes. • Manage change control processes and provide financial oversight. • Facilitate information flow and act as the primary client‑team interface. • Support technical services and PMO controls delivery to meet quality standards. • Ensure project controls align with client objectives and appointment conditions.

We have several Associate Director‑level Project Controls opportunities in London and the South East, ideal for specialists with experience in rail, aviation, power, water/utilities, highways or defence. The role involves delivering end‑to‑end project controls services for large, complex and mega projects, establishing success criteria for time, cost and performance, implementing governance processes, leading a matrix‑based controls team, maintaining the risk register, applying KPI‑driven performance management, managing change control and finances, and acting as the day‑to‑day client‑team interface to ensure quality, schedule and budget targets are met. Candidates should hold a relevant technical degree and management qualifications, with proven experience in project control roles on construction projects. Expertise in planning & scheduling, cost management, risk and change control, and familiarity with systems such as Prism, Unifier and Primavera P6 are required, together with the ability to mentor junior staff and excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Hold a relevant technical degree and management qualifications. • Demonstrated experience in planning & scheduling, cost management and risk/control reporting on construction projects. • Proficient with cost management tools such as Prism and Unifier and Primavera P6. • Ability to mentor and develop junior specialists. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
