About the Role
The Cleaner role is responsible for maintaining a designated zone with a focus on quality control, health and safety, and exceeding client expectations. Reporting to the Manager or Supervisor, you will perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed. • Sweep, scrub, or vacuum floors and operate handheld or auto scrubbers • Dry/wet mop and polish hard‑surface and washroom floors using walk‑behind buffers or automatic equipment • Strip, seal, finish, and polish hard‑surface floors manually or with power equipment • Transport garbage from drop points to bins or compactors and move maintenance machinery as needed • Clean glass areas, stairwells, and elevator cabs using ladders or scaffolding • Load, unload, and replenish cleaning supplies and solutions • Follow chemical and equipment procedures to protect floors and fixtures • Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions per specifications • Remove snow and debris from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas with snowplows, blowers, shovels, or melt chemicals • Report major repairs or additions to building systems to management • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks in institutional environments using floor‑maintenance machines • Lift, push, pull heavy items and climb ladders; occasionally lift up to 25 lb • Work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts across multiple locations • Maintain accurate manual and electronic records and follow verbal/written instructions

What You Bring
• Steam clean or shampoo carpets • Apply knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations • Hold a valid Class G driver’s license and meet required security clearance

Benefits
This is a regular, full‑time position with a salary range of $17.60‑$20.88 per hour, based on experience, education, and performance. Physical demands include occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds and the ability to climb ladders. Availability for weekends, holidays, and shift work across multiple locations is required.
