About the Role
The Laboratory Technician assists in performing chemical analyses of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste to determine compliant treatment and disposal, utilizing a variety of analytical techniques and instruments. Core duties include maintaining the laboratory and equipment, calibrating instruments, collecting and preparing samples, documenting results accurately, fingerprinting waste samples, and conducting analyses using standardized methods. The role also involves preparing standards, operating instrumentation per standards, ensuring quality control, cleaning glassware, completing an Initial Demonstration of Capability (IDOC) before reporting data, maintaining an annual Demonstration of Capability (DOC), and performing other related tasks as assigned.
