About the Role
As an Environmental Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT), you will support senior engineers on remediation projects, conduct routine engineering tasks, manage project administration, and perform field work and travel as needed. The role offers the chance to contribute to meaningful changes in the waste industry and build a sustainability legacy. • Assist senior engineers in environmental remediation design, implementation, feasibility studies, pre‑design investigations, remedial action, and post‑construction activities. • Perform routine engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures. • Complete projects with clear objectives and limited variables; work independently on small projects or support larger ones. • Interpret data and present findings in tables, charts, or maps. • Carry out administrative duties for project management, including documentation and reporting. • Conduct field work and travel as required; perform physically demanding sampling tasks in adverse conditions.

What You Bring
• 40‑hour HAZWOPER training (strongly preferred). • Master’s degree in environmental engineering or related field. • EIT certification or ability to obtain (candidates without EIT start as “Environmental Designer”). • 10‑hour OSHA training (preferred). • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and GIS. • Engineering internship experience (preferred). • Local candidate preference. • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or related field. • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
