Electrician, Journeyman
Install, maintain, and repair high/low voltage electrical systems in a manufacturing plant.

About the Role
Under general direction, performs a variety of duties including installation and maintenance of all high and low voltage electrical equipment, signal systems, overhead power lines, electric motors, generators, and electronic controls. Measures and cuts wire, marks, lays out and bends conductors into the desired shape, and cuts material for fabrication of items used in electrical construction such as frames for starters. Performs other duties as required. • Supervise one or two electricians and apprentices; train apprentices as required. • Perform major electrical construction on plant equipment and controls; repair and erect power lines; read blueprints or layout without prints; work at all plant levels; use various hand and testing tools; inspect and determine necessary repairs. • Operate power saw, flame‑cutting torch, electric and acetylene welding equipment, pipe‑threading machine, and other machinery as needed. • Assist maintenance personnel with various maintenance and construction tasks. • Assist foreman in maintaining safety and good housekeeping practices. • Supervise one or two instrument repairmen and helpers; train apprentices as required.

What You Bring
• Preferably one year experience in a manufacturing setting. • High school diploma or GED preferred. • Able to pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.
