About the Role

This is a 100% travel position requiring climbs up to 300 ft, where you will lead daily site construction efforts to meet production goals. Responsibilities include implementing MasTec’s health, safety, and environmental policies, adhering to industry standards such as OSHA and ANSI, overseeing site operations and quality, maintaining daily paperwork, compiling and uploading close‑out documentation, and coordinating with customer representatives. You will also provide leadership, mentorship, and training to crew members, keep equipment operational, and serve as a mentor to less‑experienced technicians. Welding and structural‑mod experience are required. • Lead daily tower construction activities, ensuring crew meets production goals. • Enforce MasTec safety policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI). • Oversee site operations, quality control, and maintain required paperwork. • Compile and upload close‑out documentation to customer interfaces. • Mentor and train crew members, promoting safety and skill development.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates prioritize safety, have a record of high‑quality work, and enjoy solving tough problems hands‑on. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least five years of industry experience, expertise in construction, rigging, and safety standards, and a working knowledge of relevant certifications (WSA, First Aid, CPR, fiber, etc.). Candidates must possess strong organizational, computer, and communication skills, be able to read site plans and construction drawings, hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, maintain FDOT logbooks, and be physically fit to lift 50 lb, climb towers, and work up to 12‑hour shifts. • Must have industrial welding and structural‑mod experience; able to climb towers up to 300 ft. • Minimum 5 years of industry experience; high school diploma or GED required. • Hold relevant certifications (WSA, First Aid, CPR, safety, fiber, etc.) – a plus. • Ability to read site plans, RFDS, construction drawings, and statements of work. • Valid driver’s license with clean record; maintain FDOT logbooks. • Physically fit to lift 50 lb and work up to 12‑hour shifts.
