About the Role
The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. The role includes installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, as well as mentoring junior technicians. Typical duties involve promoting a safe work environment, completing preventative maintenance with proper documentation, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays. The technician also tracks inventory, maintains positive relationships across the facility, and may travel up to 20 % of the time. • Ensure safety compliance by following all safety procedures. • Perform and document preventative maintenance on material handling equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues (belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, etc.). • Install, maintain, and service automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Track and manage department inventory using a CMMS. • Mentor and train junior technicians.

What You Bring
The position requires repetitive bending, crouching, lifting parts up to 49 lb, and standing or walking for shifts of up to 12 hours, often in confined or noisy spaces with varying temperatures. Workers must be able to maneuver bulky equipment and work at heights when necessary. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, flexible availability for shifts and weekends, and at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment and performing predictive and preventative maintenance. Preferred credentials are an associate or higher degree in mechanical or electrical fields, experience with automated conveyor systems, blueprint reading, CMMS, and robotic or electromechanical maintenance. • Lift up to 49 lb, stand or walk for up to 12‑hour shifts, and travel up to 20 % of the time. • Meet required qualifications: high school diploma, 2+ years MHE repair experience, flexible schedule. • Preferred qualifications: associate degree in mechanical/electrical, experience with conveyor systems, blueprint reading, robotic maintenance.
