Electrical Engineer II - Power System Study
Conduct power system studies for renewable energy projects, using modeling software.

About the Role
The engineer will perform wind and solar electrical power studies across development, construction, and operation phases, model projects using industry tools such as ETAP, ASPEN, CYMCAP, SKM, WinIGS, and PSS/E, produce well‑organized technical reports, and specify equipment ratings and design parameters. They will collaborate with internal and external engineers, project coordinators, and managers, own deliverables, manage multiple studies simultaneously, and conduct QA/QC of study packages. • Conduct wind and solar electrical power studies (ampacity, short circuit, reactive power, grounding, arc flash, system impact) during development, construction, and operation stages • Model projects using ETAP, ASPEN, CYMCAP, SKM, WinIGS, and PSS/E • Prepare clear, well‑organized technical reports • Specify equipment ratings and design parameters based on study results • Coordinate with internal and external engineers, project coordinators, and managers • Manage multiple studies and projects concurrently • Perform QA/QC of study packages

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (a master’s in renewable energy is a plus) and have at least two years of power‑system modelling, simulation, and study experience in utilities or consulting. Required skills include proficiency with ETAP, SKM, and ASPEN, strong analytical and multitasking abilities, excellent communication, and teamwork. Additional pluses are experience with PSSE, PSLF, PSCAD, EMTP, insulation coordination, transient studies, and a professional engineer license. • Own deliverables and exceed client expectations • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Master’s in renewable energy optional • Minimum 2 + years experience in power‑system modelling, simulations, and studies • Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, and ASPEN; familiarity with PSSE, PSLF, PSCAD, EMTP a plus • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; ability to work cross‑functionally • Professional Engineer license preferred
