About the Role
The Partner Development Specialist sells assigned product lines to targeted customers in specific market areas, aiming to meet sales goals with minimal supervision while optimizing volume, mix, and profit margins. The role involves coordinating sales for a customer and distributor base, managing the full customer relationship, and providing sales and technical assistance to distributors, end users, and specifiers, including accurate planning, specification interpretation, quotations, and technical support. The specialist communicates with customers, warehouses, and plants to resolve issues, travels within the territory to deliver technical and application training, and supports smaller and mid‑sized partners through sales and enablement activities. Market intelligence is gathered and analyzed to monitor competitive products, customer preferences, and buying habits; insights are communicated to product divisions, and bids and quotations are prepared following company pricing and delivery guidelines. • Sell designated product lines to target customers in assigned market areas. • Meet sales targets while optimizing product mix and profit margins. • Coordinate sales activities across customers and distributors. • Provide technical assistance and support to distributors, end users, and specifiers. • Prepare accurate specifications, quotations, and technical documentation. • Communicate with internal teams to resolve customer issues promptly. • Conduct territory travel for technical and application training sessions. • Enable and support smaller and mid‑size partner revenue growth. • Collect and analyze market intelligence on competitors and customer buying habits. • Share market insights with product divisions and adjust strategies accordingly. • Develop and present bids aligned with company pricing and delivery policies. • Utilize Salesforce for sales process management. • Work collaboratively with team members and leverage support personnel.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, have at least one year of experience in the electrical or IT industry (preferably in channel sales), possess a valid unrestricted driver’s license, and be located within 50 miles of Pleasanton, San Francisco, or Sacramento (military personnel exempt). No relocation assistance is offered. Desired competencies include strong customer service, time‑management, presentation and planning skills, proficiency with Salesforce, knowledge of market trends and competitors, and effective interpersonal and teamwork abilities. • Hold a bachelor’s degree (preferably in electrical engineering or related field). • Possess at least one year of experience in electrical/IT sales or channel sales. • Maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license. • Reside within 50 miles of Pleasanton, San Francisco, or Sacramento (military exempt); relocation not provided. • Demonstrate strong customer service and relationship‑building skills. • Exhibit effective time‑management, presentation, and planning abilities. • Understand market trends, industry issues, and competitor activities.
