About the Role

The specialist will act as the primary point of contact for customer requests and inquiries related to facility operations and will oversee facility planning, office allocation, layout reconfigurations, preventative and corrective maintenance, and repair activities. Additional responsibilities include managing janitorial, move services, food services, and vendor support while ensuring compliance with Government Furnished Equipment policies and lifecycle management. Further duties cover vendor contract management, procurement and inventory of supplies and specialized equipment, access control, visitor management, deliveries, and meeting logistics. The role also supports energy and sustainability tracking, partners with IT and security teams for workspace allocations and IT asset deployment, and oversees office services such as mail distribution, reprographics, supply management, and event logistics, as well as receptionist staff supervision. • Serve as primary contact for facility‑related customer requests • Oversee facility planning, office allocation, layout reconfigurations, and maintenance activities • Manage janitorial, move services, food services, and other vendor‑supported functions • Ensure compliance with Government Furnished Equipment policies and lifecycle management • Administer vendor contracts, monitor service‑level agreements, and drive cost‑effectiveness • Coordinate procurement and inventory of supplies and specialized equipment • Control access, visitor management, deliveries, and meeting logistics • Track energy use and sustainability metrics through facility monitoring and reporting • Partner with IT and security teams for workspace allocations, onboarding/off‑boarding, and IT asset deployment • Manage office services such as mail distribution, reprographics, supply management, and event logistics • Supervise receptionist staff, including scheduling, daily oversight, and service quality

What You Bring

KBR is seeking a Facility Operations Specialist to support daily operations at the Charleston Facility. The role ensures the facility runs efficiently, securely, and in alignment with corporate and government requirements. Experience in managing facilities, offices, or accounts, overseeing vendors, and coordinating teams is required. Candidates must hold a BS/BA with at least two years of facilities or account operations experience, or eight years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Proven experience in vendor contract management, procurement, cost optimization, familiarity with GFE management, and IT/asset coordination are required, along with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. • Require BS/BA with 2+ years of facilities or account operations experience (or 8 years without a degree) • Demonstrate proven vendor contract management, procurement, and cost‑optimization experience • Familiarity with GFE management and IT/asset coordination • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
