About the Role

• Manage overall financial health of projects, including subcontracts and suppliers • Develop and maintain project financial projections and allocate estimates in the financial system • Determine cost codes, approve invoices, and provide financials and billings to Accounting for timely payment • Create monthly owner billings and handle contract management, including contract buyouts • Oversee budget and select trade partners and suppliers • Lead and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, assign jobs, and support career development • Approve on‑site team timecards and provide performance feedback • Serve as primary contact with owner and on‑site representative, review agreements, and resolve site concerns • Execute and manage change orders, submit for approval, and obtain customer/architect sign‑off • Maintain schedule and budget through project completion while managing quality, risk, safety, and compliance

The firm does not entertain unsolicited agency contacts. • Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil, architectural engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience • Current driver’s license • Demonstrated ability to handle complex project responsibilities • Detail‑oriented with capacity to organize multiple tasks • Basic understanding of construction law and standard business practices • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, project software, and web applications • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies • Strong active‑listening and communication skills, open to diverse input • Knowledge of EEO, inclusive behaviors, and affirmative‑action plans • Minimum six years of construction management or related experience for Project Manager 1 • Minimum seven years of construction management experience with large projects ($20M+) for Project Manager 2 • Location adjustments: +5% in Denver, CO & Chicago, IL; +10% in Seattle, WA & Portland, OR; +12.5% in Washington, D.C.
