About the Role

The Maintenance Technician at The Ashley supports resident satisfaction through quality move‑ins, expedited service, and personal attention. This role is accountable for delivering on commitments to residents and representing Cushman & Wakefield professionally at all times. Key responsibilities include preparing make‑ready apartments with painting, carpet repairs, cleaning and minor fixes, as well as responding promptly to resident service requests. The technician also performs routine upkeep of plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, carpentry, and snow removal, while maintaining grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities in a clean and safe condition. • Prepare make‑ready apartments, including painting, carpet repair, cleaning, and minor repairs. • Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests. • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and snow removal as needed. • Maintain grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities in clean, safe condition. • Participate in on‑call schedule to address after‑hours emergencies. • Report maintenance issues in vacant units, model homes, and common areas to the supervisor. • Follow state, local, and federal fair‑housing regulations and company safety procedures. • Read and interpret policy manuals, safety rules, and maintenance instructions. • Compute rates, ratios, percentages, and prepare basic reports and correspondence.

What You Bring

The position requires knowledge of maintenance functions, fair housing laws, and safety procedures, along with a valid driver’s license and EPA 608 Type II certification or equivalent. Competencies include the ability to read policy manuals, compute rates and percentages, follow written or diagrammed instructions, and produce routine reports and correspondence. Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED, or trade/technical education, and at least one year of related maintenance experience. Strong problem‑solving skills, basic math abilities, and adherence to safety protocols are essential. The role operates in a professional office environment with regular travel between properties, often in varying weather conditions. Physical demands involve standing, walking, climbing ladders, lifting up to 100 pounds, and being on‑site up to 10 % of the time. • Hold a valid driver’s license and EPA 608 Type II certification (or local equivalent).
