About the Role

The Assistant Corrosion Project Manager should have a solid understanding of corrosion mechanisms and materials science. The role splits between office work—preparing for field work, compiling data, and writing reports—and field work, which involves assessments on pipelines and concrete structures in water, wastewater, and transportation industries, including confined spaces, traffic areas, and wastewater structures. Frequent national travel and classroom and hands‑on training are provided to ensure safe, effective performance. In this role you will coordinate the work of single‑ or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project life‑cycle under the supervision of a Project Manager, and be responsible for many aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger one. You will manage workload, ensure deliverables are completed on budget and schedule, and collaborate with accounting, operational, and business leadership for periodic reviews. You will conduct analyses to develop chemical or process design options, assist in creating engineering drawings, cost estimates, and specifications, and perform routine engineering assignments using standard techniques. You will work independently on small projects or support senior engineers on larger projects, and may oversee Project Engineers, EITs, Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed. • Coordinate single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project life cycle under Project Manager supervision. • Manage workload to deliver project outputs on budget and schedule. • Collaborate with accounting, operational, and business leadership for periodic project reviews. • Conduct chemical/process design analyses and assist in producing drawings, cost estimates, and specifications. • Perform routine engineering tasks using standard techniques. • Work independently on small projects or support senior engineers on larger projects. • Supervise Project Engineers, EITs, Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed. • Travel nationally for field assessments of pipelines and concrete structures in water, wastewater, and transportation sectors. • Execute field work safely in confined spaces, near traffic, and in wastewater environments. • Receive classroom and hands‑on training for safe field performance.
