About the Role

The Staff/Senior Grid Operations Systems Analyst role offers the opportunity to troubleshoot and maintain critical applications and systems within PGE’s Control Center, ensuring high availability and reliability of grid operations. The position supports reliability and cybersecurity compliance activities, participates in regulatory audits, and helps demonstrate compliance with industry standards. Advanced knowledge of systems administration, analytical thinking, and security protocols for grid operations are required. The Staff Grid Operations Analyst focuses on troubleshooting, designing, implementing, and maintaining multiple applications and systems, maintaining high availability, supporting integration efforts, reviewing operational processes, and providing compliance support. The Senior Grid Operations Analyst adds root‑cause analysis, remediation planning, leading integration, guiding operational personnel, leading compliance initiatives, and driving projects that define business objectives and user acceptance criteria. • Troubleshoot and maintain critical Control Center applications and systems to ensure high availability. • Design, implement, and support multiple grid‑operations applications and system integrations. • Review and improve operational processes, real‑time procedures, and related documentation. • Provide reliability and cybersecurity compliance support, participate in audits, and enhance compliance documentation. • Lead or contribute to projects defining business objectives, requirements, and user acceptance criteria. • Conduct root‑cause analysis, develop remediation plans, and mitigate compliance risks (Senior level). • Deliver technical assistance and training to analysts and other stakeholders.

What You Bring

Education requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Staff candidates typically need five or more years supporting a Control Center; senior candidates usually need eight or more years. Professional Engineering (PE) designation and IT certifications are a plus. Competencies include advanced knowledge of grid‑operations systems and administration, intermediate to advanced skills in technical writing, process improvement, project management, reporting and analytics, analytical thinking, consulting, business acumen, conflict management, prioritization, interpersonal skills, and influence without authority. Physical and cognitive demands involve logical problem solving, meeting response times, accurate decision‑making, teamwork, stress‑resilient communication, adaptability to change, and willingness to work variable schedules, on‑call shifts, and occasional outages. The role requires regular computer use and occasional indoor/outdoor work, as well as travel within the service territory. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 5+ years (Staff) or 8+ years (Senior) of Control Center experience. • Possess advanced knowledge of systems administration, security protocols, and grid‑operations systems. • Demonstrate strong analytical, consulting, project management, and technical writing skills. • Ability to work variable schedules, on‑call shifts, and handle occasional outage response.

Compensation ranges from $99,975 to $197,375, with performance‑based incentives and a total rewards package that supports well‑being and professional development.
