About the Role

The role is a Consultant position within the Real Estate Consulting (REC) team, focusing on health and social care clients nationwide. The consultant will identify and test the feasibility of real‑estate investment opportunities, help build the case for change and guide clients toward optimal investment decisions. • Prepare and author business cases (SOC, OBC, FBC) using the HM Treasury 5‑case model • Develop estate/property strategies, target operating models and change‑management plans • Engage with health and social care clients, building relationships at all levels • Conduct financial analysis and commercial evaluation of real‑estate investment opportunities • Manage programmes, projects and contracts for capital infrastructure • Analyse large datasets and present insights using Excel or Power BI

What You Bring

Successful candidates are highly motivated, flexible and possess excellent communication skills. They must be able to engage with clients at all levels, nurture relationships, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and emotional‑intelligence capabilities. Essential qualifications include a relevant bachelor’s degree, a project‑management certification such as PRINCE2 or MSP, and proven business‑case writing experience using the HM Treasury 5‑case model. Candidates should also have experience handling large, complex data sets, commercial and financial analysis, and a solid understanding of programme and contract management. Desirable attributes comprise industry qualifications in surveying, engineering, finance or accounting, evidence of continuing professional development, and Better Business Case accreditation. Experience delivering strategic infrastructure programmes in large organisations, especially within health or social‑care services, and the ability to use tools like MS Excel or Power BI for data‑driven analysis are also valued. • Hold a relevant real‑estate qualification or bachelor’s degree and a project‑management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP) • Demonstrated experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and managing change • Strong interpersonal, persuasion and influencing skills with high emotional intelligence • Desirable: surveying/engineering/financial qualifications, Better Business Case accreditation, strategic infrastructure programme experience, health or social‑care project‑manager level experience • Flexibility to travel as required and adapt to new sectors or environments
