About the Role
The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. The role also includes installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior technicians as they develop their skills. You will promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and completing preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays is a core responsibility. Maintaining positive relationships across the Operations facility and tracking department inventory are also required. The position may involve up to 20% travel and shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with the ability to lift up to 49 lb. • Repair and maintain material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. • Install, service, and troubleshoot automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Perform preventative maintenance with thorough documentation. • Mentor and train junior technicians. • Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment. • Track and manage department inventory using CMMS. • Lift and handle parts up to 49 lb; stand or walk 12‑hour shifts. • Work in confined spaces, varied temperatures, noise, and vibration while adhering to safety standards.

Physical demands involve repetitive bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting parts averaging 20 lb, occasionally up to 49 lb, as well as standing or walking on concrete for long periods. Working conditions may include confined spaces, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, vibration, and uneven surfaces, with occasional work at heights and manipulation of bulky equipment. Dexterity in eye‑hand coordination and foot‑pedal operation is essential.
