About the Role
The Asset Management Associate supports the management of the rental portfolio by working with the Asset Management team and internal partners to ensure efficient operations and maximize financial performance. Responsibilities include onboarding and stabilizing new build‑to‑rent projects and properties acquired through 1x1, MLS, or bulk purchases, as well as identifying improvement areas and executing plans to address them. Key duties include developing and implementing asset‑management strategies for single‑family rentals, acting as primary owner for 1x1 acquisitions and build‑to‑rent projects, and supporting portfolio acquisitions. The associate collaborates with operations, leasing, accounting, FP&A and other teams to manage leasing, rent collection, maintenance and tenant relations, conducts data analysis to boost financial performance, prepares regular performance reports, manages budgets and forecasts, and leads process‑improvement initiatives. Success is measured by report accuracy, timeliness, meeting deadlines, reducing lease‑up time, and lowering LDOM property counts. • Support portfolio management, including onboarding, stabilization, and day‑to‑day operations of single‑family rentals. • Serve as primary owner for 1x1 acquisitions and build‑to‑rent (BTR) projects. • Collaborate with asset management, operations, leasing, accounting, FP&A, and acquisitions teams. • Analyze performance data, identify financial improvement opportunities, and execute enhancement plans. • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and develop property budgets and cash‑flow forecasts. • Identify operational inefficiencies and lead process‑improvement initiatives. • Ensure accurate, timely reporting and meet all project deadlines.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, real estate or a related field; an advanced degree or certifications are a plus. They need 3‑5 years of experience in asset, real‑estate, or property management, strong written and verbal communication, detail‑oriented multitasking, high‑level critical thinking, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Yardi or AppFolio is advantageous. • Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, real estate or related field; 3‑5 years asset/property management experience; strong analytical, communication, and multitasking skills; proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint; knowledge of Yardi/AppFolio a plus.
