About the Role

The Lead Technical Resource supports the Applications Engineer by managing workflow assignments and driving collaboration across the team. This role develops comprehensive application solutions and precise cost estimates for Johnson Controls sales opportunities, and delivers technical and sales support for large or integrated systems. Key duties include analyzing Salesforce.com dashboards to enforce Center of Excellence processes, prioritizing design and technical specification requests, reviewing bid specifications and creating exception documentation, and partnering with Sales Managers to craft compelling bid responses and functional specifications. The role also prepares detailed project cost estimates, ensures compliance with company policies, provides technical assistance during system startup, and participates in beta testing of new systems. • Analyze Salesforce dashboards to enforce Center of Excellence best practices. • Prioritize and assign design and technical specification requests based on project timelines. • Review bid specifications, create exception documentation, and develop functional specifications. • Collaborate with Sales Managers to prepare accurate bid responses and cost estimates. • Ensure compliance with Johnson Controls policies throughout project lifecycle. • Provide technical assistance during system startup and support field organizations. • Participate in evaluation and beta testing of new systems and subsystems.

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and four to five years of hands‑on experience in designing, pricing and implementing integrated systems projects, with proven leadership in cross‑functional environments. Candidates must possess strong oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, and a high level of PC literacy. Preferred knowledge includes project management principles, database connectivity, LAN protocols, and expertise in access control, intrusion detection, video management, and fire alarm systems; occasional travel to customer sites may be required. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience. • Possess 4‑5 years of experience designing, pricing, and implementing integrated systems. • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Proficient with PC applications, project management tools, and data communication protocols. • Knowledge of access control, intrusion detection, video management, and fire alarm systems. • Willingness to travel occasionally for on‑site customer support.
