About the Role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in daily operations and financial functions of a housing community, handling rent collection, staff supervision, leasing, maintenance, administration, and risk management, especially in the manager’s absence. • Post payments, reconcile daily receivables, and complete end‑of‑month closing procedures. • Monitor delinquent accounts, issue late notices, contact residents/guarantors, and coordinate evictions. • Maintain accurate resident files, process move‑out charges, statements, and security‑deposit refunds. • Screen, hire, train, coach, and supervise onsite staff to ensure policy compliance and performance. • Execute leasing strategies, implement marketing plans, and achieve timely lease closures. • Address resident complaints, develop retention programs, and manage move‑in processes. • Oversee customer service, maintenance request turnaround, and regular property inspections. • Manage vendor relationships, obtain bids, and control operational expenses for supplies and equipment. • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, OSHA requirements, safety standards, and liability guidelines. • Perform physical duties such as site inspections, lifting up to 25 lb, and occasional overtime or emergency work.

What You Bring
