About the Role
The role involves organizing day‑to‑day duties, resolving operational problems, liaising with customers and staff, and implementing procedures with timely briefings. Working with the planning team, the manager schedules manpower and equipment, monitors documentation, conducts safety and quality audits, and ensures health and safety compliance. Key responsibilities include identifying training needs, conducting annual appraisals, managing work forecasts, controlling job budgets, and maintaining customer relationships while coordinating with credit control. • Organize daily duties and operations for the engineering team. • Resolve operational issues and coordinate with customers and staff. • Implement work procedures and deliver timely briefings. • Plan and schedule manpower and equipment with the planning team. • Monitor engineer documentation, certify timesheets and ensure accuracy. • Conduct safety and quality audits for engineers and subcontractors. • Manage health and safety compliance and promote a Zero Harm culture. • Identify training needs, conduct appraisals and develop team skills. • Forecast work, track job progress and ensure on‑time completion. • Control job budgets, justify variations and manage cost efficiency. • Maintain customer relationships and minimize disputes while collaborating with credit control.

What You Bring

Essential requirements are a valid driver’s licence, experience in a customer‑facing role, strong communication, proactive problem‑solving, and the ability to build relationships and influence others. Preferred experience includes fire and security industry knowledge, people‑management experience, and P&L responsibility.
