About the Role

Interns must adhere to safety, health, environmental, and quality‑assurance plans, report any violations, and ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate. Typical activities include attending customer site meetings and field walk‑downs, developing P&IDs and PFDs, performing hydraulic, relief‑valve, and vessel sizing calculations, running process simulations, generating material balances, and possibly cross‑training in environmental, process‑safety, or furnace engineering disciplines. • Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality‑assurance plans; report any violations. • Attend customer site meetings and conduct field walk‑downs. • Develop and review P&IDs and PFDs. • Perform hydraulic calculations, relief‑valve sizing, and vessel sizing. • Run process simulations and generate material balances. • Communicate technical issues and project updates with leadership, engineers, designers, and document control. • Maintain complete and accurate project documentation for all assigned work.

What You Bring

Candidates should be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited chemical‑engineering program (bachelor’s, master’s or Ph.D.) with good academic standing, have completed sophomore‑level discipline coursework, and be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD; programming exposure is a plus. Strong organizational, communication, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills are essential. • Cross‑train in related engineering disciplines such as environmental, process safety, or furnace engineering. • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited Chemical Engineering program (B.S., M.S., or Ph.D.) with good academic standing. • Completed sophomore‑level discipline‑specific coursework. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD; exposure to programming languages is a plus. • Demonstrate strong organizational, prioritization, written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
