About the Role
Senior Project Managers will lead multi‑disciplinary capital projects through the full lifecycle, from option studies and design to procurement, NEC contract administration and on‑site commissioning. They will establish governance structures, manage stakeholder, health‑and‑safety, risk, quality, schedule and contract aspects, mentor junior staff and actively manage resources and subcontractors. The role also involves building client relationships, supporting business‑development activities and preparing bid submissions. • Lead delivery of multi‑disciplinary water capital projects from inception through commissioning. • Provide client‑side project management across design, procurement, NEC contract administration and on‑site execution. • Establish governance, define roles and accountabilities, and manage stakeholder, health‑and‑safety, risk, quality, schedule and contracts. • Mentor Project Managers, Graduates and Apprentices; support business development and bid preparation. • Manage resources and subcontractors to meet client and business requirements. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and cross‑functional teams.

What You Bring
The company is seeking Senior and Associate Project Managers with experience delivering water‑industry projects to join its Infrastructure Project Management team for the £88 bn AMP8 investment period. Roles are based across eight regional offices in the North, Midlands and Scotland, with additional nationwide opportunities with government bodies. The team is growing rapidly, supported by a strong pipeline of projects and a culture of innovation. Candidates should have at least six years of consulting project‑management experience, preferably within the water sector, and a solid understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts (ECC accreditation desirable). A relevant degree or equivalent experience, strong communication and organisational skills, and proficiency with digital tools are required. Professional qualifications such as APM PMQ or PRINCE2 and chartered membership of bodies like APM, CIOB, ICE or RICS are advantageous. • Minimum 6 years consulting project‑management experience, preferably in the water sector. • Demonstrated experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts; NEC ECC accreditation desirable. • Strong communication, organisational and relationship‑building skills; ability to work autonomously. • Relevant degree (engineering, project management, environmental science, construction) or equivalent experience. • APM PMQ, PRINCE2 or similar qualification preferred. • Membership of a chartered professional body (APM, CIOB, ICE, RICS) preferred. • Excellent IT, numeracy and bid preparation abilities.
