About the Role

The Foreman will lead and coordinate daily work activities of sprinkler fitters and apprentices, guaranteeing compliance with company standards and acting as the main point of contact for site queries. They will plan daily and weekly tasks based on schedules and material deliveries, work closely with the Project Manager to track progress, identify delays and implement corrective actions, and ensure tools, equipment and materials are available and maintained. Additionally, they will conduct inspections, document installation issues, support commissioning activities such as flushing and pressure testing, and promote a strong health and safety culture through toolbox talks, risk assessments and permit‑to‑work checks. Effective communication with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives, as well as participation in coordination meetings, is also required. • Lead daily work of sprinkler fitters and apprentices, ensuring compliance with company standards. • Plan and monitor daily/weekly tasks, track progress, address delays, and maintain tools and materials. • Conduct inspections, document issues, support commissioning, flushing, pressure testing, and final sign‑off. • Promote safety by delivering toolbox talks, risk assessments, permit‑to‑work checks and enforcing procedures. • Liaise with contractors, consultants and clients, attend coordination meetings and communicate updates and risks.

What You Bring

Provincial Sprinklers is seeking an experienced and highly organised Foreman for its Cork location. This full‑time role reports to the Project Manager or Contracts Manager and is responsible for overseeing the installation, testing and commissioning of fire sprinkler systems on commercial, industrial and residential sites. The Foreman will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Essential requirements include at least five years of fire sprinkler installation experience, with one to two years in a supervisory or lead role, and the ability to read and interpret detailed drawings, schematics and specifications. Candidates must have a proven track record of managing teams and subcontractors on‑site, possess excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills, and hold a full clean driver’s licence. Desirable qualifications are an apprenticeship or degree in Mechanical/Fire Protection Systems, certification in fire sprinkler installation (IFC, LPCB or equivalent), experience on Irish construction sites and the relevant site tickets such as Safe Pass, Manual Handling and MEWP. • Require 5+ years fire sprinkler installation experience, including 1–2 years supervisory role. • Must read and interpret drawings, hold a full clean driver’s licence, and possess required site tickets (Safe Pass, Manual Handling, MEWP). • Desirable qualifications: apprenticeship, IFC/LPCB certification, and Irish construction site experience.
