About the Role

• Lead and coordinate site teams and trade partners in developing project schedules using CPM software on large or multiple projects. • Support group leadership by monitoring and updating schedules across multiple or large projects. • Generate mitigation options and assist site management in creating plans to resolve scheduling issues. • Coach, mentor, and train team members in scheduling methods. • Collaborate with Business Development on proposals and lead schedule strategy for project pursuits. • Support rollout of company-wide training plans. • Participate in corporate planning and scheduling improvement initiatives and share best practices. • Build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.

What You Bring

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Planning and Scheduling Manager who can interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, remaining flexible, proactive, and professional while handling confidential matters. The role involves non‑routine planning and scheduling assignments that require applying complex scheduling principles to highly complex projects, as well as leading and coordinating team members and processes to implement scheduling strategies. Postings typically remain open a minimum of five days and an average of forty‑four days. Visa sponsorship is not offered; candidates must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. • Minimum 8 years construction experience or equivalent training/experience. • Advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and Mortenson software. • Thorough understanding of standard construction practices, project sequencing, and installation methods. • Demonstrated creativity and judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented problems on complex projects. • Strong plan and specification reading, review, and interpretation skills. • Knowledge of project management, buyout, and contracts. • Working knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologies. • Strong organization, delegation, and ability to manage others’ work. • Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and achieve superior service rankings. • Basic understanding of project estimates for schedule, cost, and resource loading. • Ability to interpret and implement customer scheduling specifications and contract requirements. • Quick comprehension of complex projects at proposal stage and development of schedule strategies. • Ability to work in cross‑functional, collaborative, team‑based environments. • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and initiative‑driven mindset. • Excellent oral and written communication and active listening skills. • Strong leadership and rapport‑building with direct reports, team members, and customers. • Willingness to travel as required.

Benefits

The base pay range for this role is $116,900 – $175,400, with higher ranges for offices in Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and Washington, D.C.
