About the Role
Building Surveyors at AECOM gain experience in feasibility studies, design and specification, detailed drawings, planning applications and listed‑building consents, as well as building‑regulation compliance. You will also manage tendering, contract administration, measured and condition surveys, technical due diligence, dilapidations assessments and party‑wall award processes. This breadth of work supports progression towards RICS chartership. • Conduct feasibility studies, design and specification, and produce detailed drawings. • Prepare planning applications, listed building and conservation area consents, and ensure compliance with building regulations. • Manage tendering processes, contract administration, and measured surveys. • Perform condition surveys, technical due diligence, dilapidations assessments, and party wall award preparations. • Undertake schedules of condition, dilapidations, and party wall works under senior guidance. • Support multi‑disciplinary project teams from definition through construction and building use. • Gain chartership support through a dedicated coordinator, supervisor, and Chartership Steering Group. • Participate in AECOM’s ADVANCE early‑careers training programme, AECOM University, monthly CPD sessions, and a three‑day residential technical training.

What You Bring
We are looking for candidates with a 2:1 (or equivalent) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Building Surveying that is RICS accredited. Required skills include effective decision‑making, strong verbal and written communication, a proactive attitude, teamwork, and solid organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks and meet client deadlines.
