About the Role

The Electrical Tester ensures the integrity and functionality of low‑voltage electrical assemblies by conducting thorough testing and verification processes. This role includes detecting and diagnosing issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining high‑quality performance of electrical systems. Key duties involve inspecting and electrically testing low‑voltage products on all production lines according to work instructions and applicable governmental requirements. The tester confirms proper function per test scripts, identifies any non‑conformances, and documents inspections on the appropriate checklists. Final and in‑process inspections are performed across multiple product lines to guarantee quality delivery to customers. • Inspect and electrically test low‑voltage products per work instructions and governmental requirements. • Confirm proper function per test scripts, identify non‑conformances, and ensure compliance with customer specifications, safety, and quality. • Document inspections on applicable checklists. • Perform final and in‑process inspections across multiple product lines. • Program controllers and conduct thorough electrical testing of low‑voltage assembly products. • Verify torqued connections using a torque wrench according to inspection instructions. • Conduct electrical and mechanical tests following safety and training procedures. • Perform inspections and audits of mechanical and electrical assemblies. • Use Hi‑Pot, continuity test, and component‑specific testing devices. • Read and interpret technical documents, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.

What You Bring

The position requires a strong understanding of electrical theory, circuit design, and the ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Communication skills are essential for collaborating within a team and for reporting findings. Familiarity with UL, NEC, regional utility codes, and customer‑specific requirements is also necessary. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and be computer literate. A minimum of one year of electrical testing experience and two or more years in a quality or electrical tester role within a manufacturing environment are required.
