About the Role
• Trap, bait, survey and monitor pest animals such as possums, rabbits and ferrets. • Control pest plants including gorse, broom and wilding pines. • Work at multiple South Island field sites with accommodation provided as needed. • Use GPS and handheld devices to record accurate field data. • Maintain strong health and safety practices while working independently or in a small team.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, physically fit and able to work both independently and within a small team, with a strong emphasis on safety and risk management. Proficiency with GPS and handheld recording devices, accurate record‑keeping and an understanding of animal behaviour on farms are essential. A Class 1 driver’s licence and experience operating a 4WD or light utility vehicle are highly desirable. • Hold a Class 1 driver’s licence; 4WD or light utility vehicle experience preferred. • Obtain or hold first aid, Controlled Substance, Growsafe or relevant NZQA certifications. • Ability to work away from home for extended periods.
