About the Role
• Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft personnel. • Implement pre‑construction quality plan and manage construction permits. • Develop and maintain material tracking, test/inspection lists, concrete placement log, and non‑conformance reports. • Manage contract documents, RFIs, correspondence, submittals, and change orders. • Oversee testing and inspection processes using a three‑phase inspection system. • Coordinate subcontractor insurance verification and final payment requests. • Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and lead team members with coaching and performance management.

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the review, analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants. The role offers levels 1 and 2 based on experience, with compensation determined by experience and location. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in construction‑related field or equivalent experience; maintain a current driver’s license. • Demonstrate detail‑orientation, ability to manage multiple project tasks, and basic understanding of construction law. • Exhibit strong teamwork, communication, problem‑solving, leadership, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant web applications. • Practice active listening and effectively interpret Mortenson policies.

Benefits
Base pay ranges from $84,100–$113,500 for Engineer 1 and $93,400–$126,100 for Engineer 2, with higher ranges for certain locations, and includes eligibility for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
