Computer and Storage Deployment Architect

About the Role

• Ensure system performance, availability, and scalability through proactive performance tuning and monitoring. • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance infrastructure efficiency. • Collaborate with cybersecurity, networking, and DevOps teams to integrate secure and compliant infrastructure solutions. • Document architecture designs, deployment procedures, and system configurations. • Design and implement computer and storage architectures in hybrid environments (cloud and on-prem). • Lead deployment and configuration of enterprise-grade storage and computer hardware.

What You Bring

• Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP). • DHS or other federal agency experience. • Expertise in enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, object storage). • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Proven experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • 7-9 years of experience in compute and storage architecture and deployment. • Strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies. • Strong background in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM). • Proficiency in hardware configuration and performance optimization. • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware VCP, or similar. • Excellent communication and documentation abilities. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation tools is a plus (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). • Experience with performance monitoring tools and techniques.
