About the Role
The Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician leads service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. This role supports the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for complex problems and managing projects, while also training and mentoring service and contract technicians. Day‑to‑day duties include promoting a safe work environment, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems, and auditing preventative maintenance procedures. The technician installs, maintains, and troubleshoots relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, sensors, motor starters, and other equipment, and creates and closes work orders with detailed labor and parts data. • Lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment • Design solutions for complex problems and manage projects for Operations Maintenance • Train and mentor service and contract technicians • Promote a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures • Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems and audit preventative maintenance procedures • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, sensors, and motor starters • Create and close work orders with labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts data • Develop training plans and emergency repair work plans for critical assets

Required qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of preventative maintenance experience, 3+ years of reading blueprints and schematics, and at least 2 years of work order management. Candidates must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, holidays, lift up to 49 lb, and travel a minimum of 20%. Preferred qualifications include an associate or higher degree in mechanical or electrical fields, 5+ years with automated conveyors and controls, leadership and vendor management experience, and familiarity with robotic maintenance and CMMS. Additional experience with material handling equipment safety standards and apprenticeship training is also valued. • Lift up to 49 lb, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and travel up to 20 % of the time • Required: high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years preventative maintenance, 3+ years blueprint reading, 2+ years work order management • Preferred: associate degree in mechanical/electrical, 5+ years automated conveyors experience, leadership and vendor management, robotic maintenance, CMMS proficiency • Physical demands: repetitive bending, crouching, lifting 20‑49 lb, working in confined and dusty environments, standing on concrete for long periods
