About the Role

Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer Journeyman who will be responsible for preparing, handling, and supplying materials to be used by other crafts on construction sites. • Load and unload equipment. • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging; level ground for scaffolding. • Tend, lift, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout. • Perform general cleanup, debris removal, sweeping, washing, and burning debris. • Place, push, pull, and vibrate concrete. • Provide work direction to Laborer I, II, Helpers, and Apprentice. • Build relationships with team members from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.

What You Bring

This description is not exhaustive; duties may change without notice. Lifting over 50 lb must be performed with assistance or equipment. Job postings typically remain open for a minimum of five days. • Completed two‑year apprenticeship program. • Construction experience preferred. • Proficient with power and hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies. • Strong teamwork, positive attitude, customer service, attention to detail, active listening, and effective communication. • Able to perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements; lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lb (over 50 lb with assistance or equipment).

The position offers a base pay of $28.33 per hour, with the rate set based on the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience.
