About the Role

The role provides technical leadership by defining cloud, mobile, and embedded product architecture and aligning with smart‑home ecosystems. It guides multidisciplinary engineering teams through technology selection, design, documentation, and verification, while managing requirements under both waterfall and agile methodologies. The engineer also oversees product lifecycle planning, production coordination, and delivery of projects on schedule. • Provide technical leadership and establish cloud, mobile, and embedded product architecture for digital and connected products. • Lead ecosystem alignment with smart home consortium and coordinate with internal team members and partners. • Bring smart home water products from ideation to production. • Work in Architectural Frameworks (DoDAF, Zachman, TOGAF, etc.) to communicate architecture to team members. • Guide product development teams on technology selection, sourcing, implementation, and support. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers to design efficient system solutions and coordinate technical activities across projects. • Deliver documentation and technical coordination across various engineering competencies. • Drive product solution requirements management under both waterfall and agile methodologies, including verification, DFMEA, and P‑Diagrams. • Work with Product Managers, Product Owners, and leadership on product requirements and goals. • Craft products with a forward‑looking lifecycle to remain relevant years beyond launch. • Deliver product development projects on target with predictability in design and verification phases. • Coordinate capabilities and updates to products in production with existing team members. • Supervise cloud performance monitoring and cost controls for scalable, extensible cloud infrastructure. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives driven by customer feedback and experience. • Define and maintain IoT data schemas for product functionality, value, and monetization.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a B.S. in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field and possess over ten years of systems‑engineering experience with complex IoT solutions. Required expertise includes firmware, mobile and cloud applications, BLE/Wi‑Fi/Thread connectivity, cybersecurity, over‑the‑air updates, and cloud performance management. Knowledge of INCOSE practices, Azure IoT services, Matter ecosystem, and data‑schema definition is also preferred. • Hold a B.S. or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field. • Have 10+ years of hands‑on systems engineering experience in complex end‑to‑end IoT solutions. • Understand INCOSE practices (certification preferred). • Experience with IoT products: firmware, mobile and cloud applications, BLE/Wi‑Fi/Thread connectivity, and cybersecurity. • Possess over‑the‑air update experience for battery‑powered devices. • Understand Azure IoT Hub and Cloud Native Services. • Possess strategic IoT ecosystem experience, especially with Matter and C2C service extensions.
