About the Role
Support customers across the power system lifecycle, including startup, commissioning, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergencies. Manage small projects independently and lead FSR teams on larger projects. Perform complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, material testing, process studies, or research investigations. Display proficiency in test equipment operation, troubleshooting techniques, protective relays, power quality measurements, disaster recovery, rotating machinery, and protection & control design, and generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties. • Provide startup, commissioning, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, upgrade, and emergency support for power systems. • Lead small projects independently and oversee FSR teams on larger initiatives. • Conduct complex engineering tasks such as equipment design, material testing, process studies, and research investigations. • Operate test equipment, troubleshoot issues, manage protective relays, measure power quality, and handle disaster recovery. • Prepare timely service reports and warranty documentation.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED (or higher) with at least two years of electrical or mechanical industry experience, or alternatively a completed accredited trade school program combined with five or more years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems. No relocation assistance is provided; applicants must reside within a 75‑mile radius of Jackson, MS, although active‑duty military members are exempt from this geographic limitation. A valid driver’s license in good standing is required. A bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution and at least one year of field service experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems are required. Candidates must possess an electrical or general contractor’s license or a professional engineering license. Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems, including power quality measurements and protective relays, is essential. NICET or NETA certification is preferred. • Require high school diploma/GED plus 2 years experience, or trade school plus 5 years experience in electrical distribution/control systems. • Candidates must live within 75 miles of Jackson, MS (military personnel exempt). • Maintain a valid driver's license in good standing. • Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 1 year field service experience. • Possess an electrical/general contractor license or professional engineering license. • Demonstrated experience with testing, troubleshooting, power quality measurements, and protective relays. • NICET or NETA certification preferred.
