About the Role
What Will I be Doing? The Inbound Collector will be responsible for handling inbound calls on any past‑due mortgage and/or maintenance accounts, including third‑party service and collecting via phone and mail. The position emphasizes handling/collecting inbound calls while remaining compliant with all Federal and State laws and assisting owners with understanding the terms and conditions related to their ownership and contracts. The collector must be certified in both call skills and the Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) and may spend less than 30% of their time handling owners. • Perform all collection activity in accordance with company and Federal regulations, facilitating acceptable delinquency percentages • Maintain required levels of phone activity, contact percentages and other key performance indicators • Legally, ethically and confidentially handle any correspondence and/or payments received • Maintain systematic and organized support documentation related to any owner account; request skip tracking as necessary • Assist all members of collections staff with daily process and procedure when required • Carry out any reasonable request by management • Complete all required company training/compliance courses as assigned • Adhere to company standards and maintain compliance with all policies and procedures
