Senior Project Manager

About the Role

In the client‑focused role you will ensure robust quality systems, manage delivery from brief through design, procurement and construction, and support senior leaders to deliver projects on time and to agreed milestones. Acting with integrity you will manage project budgets, flag risks and mitigations, support the long‑term development of your business unit and hold others accountable to Mace values, contributing positively to people, clients and the planet. To create opportunities for excellence you will lead design and consultant teams collaboratively, steer project stakeholders to meet key performance indicators, and leverage Mace’s centres of excellence, knowledge hub and control centre for best‑practice insights. • Promote safety first by exhibiting visible safety behaviours, sharing lessons learned and applying Mace’s HSW framework. • Ensure robust quality systems and manage project delivery from inception through design, procurement and construction to meet milestones. • Support senior leaders by managing tasks, deliverables and accurate project reporting. • Manage project budgets, identify risks, propose mitigations and drive long‑term business unit sustainability. • Lead design and consultant teams collaboratively to achieve project KPIs. • Network, innovate and utilise Mace’s centres of excellence, control centre and knowledge hub for best practice.

What You Bring

The role requires proficient knowledge of the relevant sector, technical qualifications, and strong health‑and‑safety expertise, along with understanding of consultancy, construction, infrastructure and property processes such as estimating, scheduling, contracts and procurement. You should have substantial experience managing medium‑sized or complex projects, experience in construction delivery, a professional qualification (MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, MICE or equivalent), and tertiary education or equivalent apprenticeship combined with intermediate role knowledge. • Possess sector‑specific technical expertise and qualifications, including health and safety regulations. • Demonstrate knowledge of estimating, scheduling, contract administration, procurement and commercial reporting. • Hold substantial experience in managing medium‑sized or complex projects and construction delivery phases. • Hold a professional qualification (MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, MICE or equivalent) and relevant tertiary education or apprenticeship.
