About the Role

The Project Manager, working in conjunction with the Project Director (PD), will simultaneously oversee multiple residential, commercial, industrial and institutional projects. The Project Manager will report at least three times a week on the status of the job to the PD. Project Managers will work closely with PDs on managing project payment terms and collection of all outstanding amounts. • Manage high‑risk, high‑exposure and complex projects. • Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, and insurance representatives. • Provide technical explanations to clients, adjusters, and consultants. • Coordinate job starts and schedule appointments with customers. • Execute Project Director instructions on payment terms and collection of outstanding accounts receivable. • Request payment from customers upon substantial completion and when COS is signed per payment terms. • Alert Project Director about upcoming payment stages according to established terms. • Support Project Director in collecting outstanding project receivables. • Coordinate work duties with subcontractors and field personnel. • Give constructive feedback and direction to keep tasks on time and within budget. • Coordinate after‑hours emergency services such as board‑ups, water, fire, and smoke damage. • Obtain all required city permits and inspections. • Observe OSHA, EPA, and SCAQMD regulations. • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards. • Assure compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously across a multi‑location region. • Use Salesforce to manage projects, run reports, handle work orders, and forecast budgets, labor, and materials.

What You Bring

Technical Skills: Must be proficient in MS Office, Xactimate, Salesforce.com, and have structural building experience. Insurance restoration experience is a plus. Communication Skills: Fluent English, both oral and written, with strong technical writing ability and capacity to express ideas effectively in project reviews with internal staff, customers, or organization employees. Work Environment: Primarily administrative, with frequent site visits to locations that may be dirty, dusty, noisy, uneven, and contain hazardous substances, and are subject to inclement weather. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities. Physical Demands: Must be in good health, pass OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance and drug screening, be able to wear full and half‑face respirators, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Travel Requirements: This position requires occasional travel and flexibility to work odd hours, weekends, and holidays as needed. Certifications Needed include current asbestos, lead, mold, LLCRC AMRT, OSHA 30‑hour construction, a valid state driver’s license, and forklift operator certification, along with a current environmental physical for respirator use. The successful candidate should have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to follow directions, experience operating vehicles up to 26,000 GVW, good communication skills, commitment to safety policies, legal eligibility to work in the United States, and bilingual English/Spanish is encouraged but not required. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; some college is a plus. • Have at least three years of superintendent experience in all construction phases. • Prefer a combination of commercial and residential construction experience.
