About the Role
The senior engineer will serve as the lead structural engineer on a variety of building types, provide technical input to studies and designs, and mentor junior staff on constructability and design methodologies. Responsibilities also include communicating complex solutions to clients, conducting construction site visits, performing quality‑control reviews, and participating in technical proposal development. The role requires reviewing permitting agency standards, client design standards, and working independently while coordinating with department and project managers. • Lead structural engineer on diverse building projects, from small to large scale, across various construction methods. • Provide technical input and develop structural designs, ensuring constructability and compliance with standards. • Mentor junior staff and share knowledge on structural design and methodology. • Present complex technical solutions directly to clients and conduct site visits to monitor construction progress. • Perform quality control reviews, sign off on deliverables, and contribute to technical proposal development. • Review permitting agency requirements, engineering codes, and client design standards for compliance. • Independently manage workload while coordinating with Department and Project Managers.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited program, at least six years of relevant experience, a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Structural Engineering, and U.S. citizenship. Preferred qualifications are recent experience with buildings and facilities design projects, proficiency with structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements, or RISA, and strong AutoCAD and Revit skills. Ten years of experience on large, complex structural building projects is ideal, as is the ability to work a hybrid schedule requiring two days per week in the Atlanta office. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering and at least 6 years of relevant experience. • Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Structural Engineering and U.S. citizenship. • Demonstrated experience with building and facilities design projects and proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements, RISA, AutoCAD, and Revit. • Preferred 10 years of experience on large, complex structural building projects and ability to work hybrid (2 days in Atlanta office).
