About the Role

Parsons advises candidates to be aware of fraudulent recruitment practices and provides a link for reporting such activity. • Lead environmental and sustainability engineering activities across design and construction. • Implement carbon reduction and circular economy principles. • Ensure compliance with environmental commitments, legislation, and management system requirements. • Oversee contractor environmental deliverables and review environmental plans for project compliance. • Define methodology, resources, and deliverables for additional environmental studies. • Identify environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies. • Mentor and manage a team of environmental engineers. • Prepare regular reports and support project planning and control processes. • Coordinate with sustainability functions to ensure alignment.

What You Bring

• Require 15+ years of experience in environmental management on large multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. • Demonstrated expertise in project controls, reporting, and quality assurance processes. • Minimum Level 8 degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Sustainability or a related discipline. • Knowledge of environmental specifications and standards (BS, EN, IS) and understanding of railway or major infrastructure systems. • Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and organizational skills. • Preferred certifications: BREEAM AP or BREEAM Infrastructure Assessor, Lead ISO Auditor, Six Sigma or Lean, and Chartered status (CEnv, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent).
