About the Role

The individual will collaborate with a cross‑functional set of stakeholders across the business to drive improvements in operational buyers roles within the Center of Excellence. They will communicate and coordinate with network schedulers for plan and execution updates, understand material requirements, and process requisitions to issue purchase orders to suppliers. The role works closely with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery of material to plant, executes exception messages such as postponement, anticipation, or cancellation of orders, and manages internal escalations. KPI monitoring of internal teams is performed, with action plans created to mitigate risks and address gaps. Internal discrepancies with operations and external issues with suppliers—such as delivery problems, claims, or quality concerns—are resolved. The individual partners with logistics providers and suppliers to meet incoterm requirements, evaluates supply performance (SOTD), and implements corrective or preventive actions for on‑time performance improvement. Supplier invoice management and resolution of holds for timely payments are handled, while maintaining inventory levels in line with set objectives in collaboration with inventory analysts and network schedulers. Coordination with Supplier Quality for RMA of defective parts, reverse logistics, and collaboration with Engineering, Product Managers, and Category Managers for phase‑in/out (ECN management) are also required. Purchasing data—including price, unit price changes, supplier lead time, MOQ, MOV, and sourcing details—is maintained together with the Data Health and Commodity teams. All available digital SCM tools are utilized for maximum efficiency, and issues related to DC/Plant putaway are resolved. • Use purchasing expertise to drive purchasing metric improvements • Help standardize best practices across sites • Collaborate with materials management and buying teams to update lead times and stocking levels to ensure uninterrupted supply • Conduct over‑buy and under‑buy analysis to manage excess inventory

What You Bring

Candidates should hold an engineering graduate degree with a master's in Materials, Production, or Operations Management, or have a background in Supply Chain or Materials Management.
