About the Role

The welder will set up, adjust, and operate both manual and semi‑automatic welding machines to create high‑quality, structurally sound welds on oil‑tight and non‑oil‑tight parts. Work will involve various welding positions and processes, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and tank environments. Material handling duties include operating bridge and jib cranes, hand trucks, and powered industrial vehicles as needed. The role also requires installing weld‑on and bolt‑on covers and performing air‑soap pressure tests to verify seal integrity. The employee must rigorously inspect their own work and that of teammates, conduct detailed testing, and promptly correct any non‑conformances. Accurate production counts are maintained and reconciled with work order specifications. • Set up, adjust, and operate manual and semi‑automatic welding equipment. • Perform welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and tank positions, including MIG repair and cover welding on mild and stainless steel. • Operate bridge cranes, jib cranes, hand trucks, and powered industrial vehicles. • Install weld‑on and bolt‑on covers and conduct air‑soap pressure tests. • Inspect own and others’ welds, conduct tests, and take corrective action for non‑conformances. • Track production counts and reconcile them with work orders. • Perform routine maintenance on welding machines and equipment. • Apply basic math skills and operate welding hand tools.
