About the Role

The Maintenance Technician supports an affordable‑housing community, performing corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. Responsibilities include the make‑ready process, daily onsite attendance, and ensuring that common areas, buildings, and units are repaired and maintained in line with the property’s operational objectives. • Respond to resident and management work orders for common areas, buildings, and units promptly. • Perform routine and emergency maintenance, including corrective, preventative, and cosmetic repairs. • Conduct swimming pool maintenance, cleaning, and maintain accurate chemical logs. • Inspect grounds, buildings, and community features daily to identify and correct hazards. • Manage make-ready turn events and assist with scheduling of repairs and replacements. • Maintain a well-organized, stocked maintenance shop adhering to OSHA safety standards. • Keep accurate records of service requests, preventative maintenance, EPA/OSHA compliance, and make-ready status. • Provide excellent customer service, monitor request turnaround, and enforce community policies. • Participate in on-call emergency coverage and assist with unit inspections as needed. • Monitor inventory of equipment and supplies and support the hazard communications program.

What You Bring

Candidates must be able to lift and move objects over 100 lb, work at heights, operate power tools, motor vehicles or golf carts, and be exposed to varying weather conditions. A high‑school diploma or equivalent, basic computer proficiency, and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA are required, along with reliable transportation for on‑call emergencies. • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and basic computer skills; knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA required. • Ability to lift/move objects 100+ lbs, work at heights, and operate power tools and motor vehicles. • Reliable transportation required for emergency on-call duties.
