About the Role
The role is part of the GFA Pune team and is accountable for accounting activities, primarily focusing on Record‑to‑Report (RTR), to support daily operations of customers in EMEA and North America. The incumbent will work closely with the transitions team and must understand process workflows and interdependencies. This position supports the Plant Controller by maintaining a robust internal controls environment, including comprehensive account reconciliations and balance‑sheet reviews. A deep understanding of financial processes—RTR, Order‑to‑Cash (OTC), and Procure‑to‑Pay (PTP)—is essential, with a particular emphasis on end‑to‑end accounting. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closes while demonstrating efficiency and agility. The role also provides business partnership and functional expertise to plant personnel to achieve financial objectives. The incumbent is responsible for implementing and maintaining internal controls and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley and applicable statutory requirements. Leadership is required to safeguard plant assets and adhere to corporate policies. A quality‑focused culture is promoted by leveraging automation tools and quality methodologies such as BPI and EBE to drive process improvements. Regular reviews of existing controls and governance of standard processes are performed to ensure alignment with globally defined SSC standards. This includes ongoing process standardization and documentation to maintain consistency across the organization. A practical approach to continuous improvement is demonstrated through the development of customer‑facing KPIs, periodic performance meetings, and close monitoring to close out open issues, ensuring customer expectations are met and exceeded. Service delivery is managed in accordance with agreed processes and procedures, covering service definition, service‑level management with reporting, and thorough documentation that maintains appropriate review records and audit trails. • Perform end‑to‑end accounting activities with a focus on RTR for EMEA and North America customers. • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closes. • Maintain internal controls, including account reconciliations and balance‑sheet reviews, in compliance with SOX and statutory requirements. • Drive process automation and improvements using quality tools such as BPI and EBE. • Standardize and govern processes to align with global SSC standards. • Collaborate with stakeholders and the Accounting Team Leader to meet goals and resolve issues. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and develop customer‑facing KPIs. • Manage service delivery, service‑level reporting, and maintain audit‑ready documentation.

Candidates must hold an Accounting degree (CA, MBA‑Finance, or B.Com) and possess end‑to‑end GL/FA knowledge with a solid grasp of OTC and PTP. Excellent analytical, written, and oral English communication skills are required, along with strong collaboration abilities.
