About the Role
As a Metro Market Technical Project Leader in our HVAC division, you will act as the on‑site project leader responsible for planning, executing and completing control‑system projects for assigned customers. You will direct subcontractors, electricians, technicians and designers, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and balance customer satisfaction with project financial results. The role includes hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and project closeout, as well as preparing accurate as‑built documentation and warranty letters. You will manage project budgets, billings and collections, forecast revenue, costs and gross margin, and actively pursue additional work through change orders. You will lead loading, device verification and commissioning of system controllers, provide job‑site coordination for panels and field devices, and deliver training to owners or operators. Coaching, mentoring and technical assistance to system technicians, electrical installers, designers and subcontractors are also key responsibilities. • Lead on-site HVAC control system projects from planning through closeout. • Design hardware and program software using established standards. • Coordinate installation, commissioning, and system verification activities. • Manage subcontractors, electricians, technicians and ensure safety compliance. • Oversee project financials: cost control, billing, collections, and margin forecasting. • Communicate with customers, pursue change orders and maintain satisfaction. • Produce as‑built documentation, manuals, and warranty letters. • Provide training to owners/operators and mentor technical staff. • Select, order, and manage material procurement and vendor pricing. • Develop long‑term relationships with contractors, clients and consultants.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a technical associate’s degree with at least four years of field experience (or six years equivalent) in HVAC/Building Automation, hands‑on experience in system design and commissioning, strong verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in Windows and Excel. Preferred credentials are a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, knowledge of control theory, project accounting, and a high regard for safety. • Required: technical associate’s degree + 4 years field experience (or 6 years equivalent) in HVAC/Building Automation. • Preferred: bachelor’s degree, project accounting knowledge, strong safety focus.
