About the Role

We are hiring a Shift Engineer for our Property and Asset Management business in Mohali. The role ensures that all technical services remain operational during your shift, taking charge of the building’s technical assets, managing the engineering team and supporting the Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager in coordinating technical issues with clients and occupants. Key responsibilities include managing electromechanical and utilities services with a technician team, preparing and executing planned preventive maintenance, and conducting regular site inspections to identify risks or defects. You will review subordinate work, maintain documentation for defect‑liability periods and AMC/CAMC, and be responsible for hiring, training and developing shift engineers and maintenance staff. You will formulate budgeting controls, monitor SLA and KPI performance for Brightstone and outsourced agencies, and ensure service level agreements stay above excellence. The role also covers timely renewal of agreements, invoice submission and follow‑ups, vendor quotation reviews, cost‑sheet approvals, and monthly vendor meetings to drive corrective actions. Energy conservation planning, monthly reading sheets, proper log‑book completion, and maintaining equipment history cards are part of the duties. You will attend major complaints, ensure work permits and safe practices, and assist in risk assessments, root‑cause analysis, and creation of corrective, preventive and emergency response plans. The Shift Engineer participates in evacuation drills, serves on the Emergency Response Team/Quick Response Team, and maintains engineering reports such as DMR and MMR. Collaboration with regional, head‑office, SME and training teams ensures timely closure of required reports and upholds the “No Safety No Work” slogan. The position is based on a residential site in Mohali, with a 48‑hour weekly schedule and reporting to the Property Manager and Technical Manager. What You Bring

We seek candidates who are analytical, meticulous and able to coordinate across teams, paying close attention to detail and employing strong problem‑solving skills. A good understanding of standard operating procedures and the ability to troubleshoot and monitor maintenance projects are essential. Qualifications include a Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and 3‑5 years of experience in real‑estate, hotel or construction, with residential site experience preferred.
