About the Role
The position focuses on onboarding, developing, coaching, mentoring, and managing the performance of drivers and helpers. It requires building and maintaining positive relationships with front‑line employees while spending most of the day working alongside them in the field. Key responsibilities include providing new frontline employees with the tools, instruction, and feedback they need for daily success, conducting regular touchpoints, reviewing best practices, and supporting career‑goal development. The role also emphasizes safety leadership, root‑cause investigations of incidents, maintaining regulatory records, auditing route documentation, and visiting customer sites to address safety concerns. • Onboard, coach, mentor, and manage performance of drivers and helpers. • Provide daily tools, instruction, and feedback to new frontline employees. • Conduct regular touchpoints and review best practices to improve performance. • Support frontline employees in achieving their career goals. • Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate on solutions. • Lead safety initiatives and conduct root‑cause investigations for incidents. • Maintain and audit regulatory documentation such as DVIRs and time records. • Visit customer sites to evaluate and resolve safety issues.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least an Associate's degree or a High School Diploma with two years of relevant experience, be 18 or older, legally eligible to work, and hold a valid driver’s license. Preference is given to those who have successfully completed the WM Operations Manager Trainee program. • Required: Associate's degree or High School Diploma with 2 years experience, age 18+, legal work eligibility, valid driver’s license. • Preferred: Completion of WM Operations Manager Trainee program.
