About the Role
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager will lead plant‑level EHS initiatives to advance the Zero Harm vision. The role oversees compliance with all regulatory requirements, reviews equipment and layout changes, partners with facilities on FM Global assessments, and maintains ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems. It also manages waste programs, environmental reporting, and delivers safety training across the workforce. • Lead plant EHS programs to achieve Zero Harm goals. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and JCI safety systems. • Review and approve equipment, layout and process changes for safety. • Partner with Facilities to meet FM Global assessments and conduct inspections. • Maintain and improve ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems. • Collect and analyze environmental data; submit EPA reports such as Tier II, TRI, and waste‑water monitoring. • Manage hazardous and non‑hazardous waste handling, packaging, labeling, storage and transportation. • Coordinate air emission, wastewater, storm‑water and waste audits and testing. • Deliver safety and environmental training to workers and supervisors. • Conduct hazard assessments, lock‑out/tag‑out, JHA/JSA and permit program audits. • Collaborate with safety committees and union leadership to resolve safety concerns.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a university degree (or equivalent) and have at least five to seven years of manufacturing EHS experience, including high‑hazard controls and OSHA compliance. Expertise in areas such as cranes, rigging, electrical safety, fall protection, or welding is required, and preferred certifications include CSP or CHMM. Strong communication, Microsoft Office proficiency, and a customer‑service mindset are essential. • Require 5‑7+ years of manufacturing EHS experience and a university degree or equivalent. • Demonstrated expertise in OSHA standards, high‑hazard controls, and behavior‑based safety programs. • Preferred certifications include Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong communication and organizational skills.
