About the Role

• Perform complex assignments, selecting and modifying scientific techniques for archaeological and historic structure projects. • Make decisions on design and scientific procedures, handling survey data compilation, assessment, analysis, historic context development, and report writing. • Serve as Technical Specialist, Field Supervisor, or Project Manager on mid‑size projects as needed. • Supervise professionals and technicians as required.

What You Bring

• BS in Engineering, Archaeology, History or a related field. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, extreme temperatures). • Ability to travel with overnight stays for extended periods out of town. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Ability to draft sketch maps of sites and complete field forms accurately and concisely. • Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods daily. • Commitment to data confidentiality agreements and professional ethics standards. • Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Architectural History or a closely related field. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cultural resource projects. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. • Knowledge and experience with project compliance activities, including consultation, quality assurance, and reviews. • Willingness to work under varied weather conditions. • Familiarity with field study design and documentation, regulatory framework for cultural resource management, and GIS utilities.
